FCI Noida defeats Pitthoragarh in a thrilling final

Food Corporation of India (FCI) Noida defeated Pithoragarh United to capture the All India Haldwani Cup title. By the time of the title match of the competition that ended in Haldwani on Sunday, both teams were 2-2. The winner of the match was decided after the penalty.
There was a fierce fight between FCI Noida and Pithoragarh United. A penalty shoot was resorted to when the match was even within the stipulated time. In which FCI Noida registered a thrilling 7-6 win. FCI Noida’s team has won the competition for the third time in a row. In the semi-finals, the team entered the final with a 2–0 win over the Uttarakhand Police.
Team coach and player Joginder Rawat said that the team defeated Haldwani XI in the first match. After this, the performance of the team flourished. The players also performed brilliantly in the title match.
