Edmund Cricket U17: St. John boys cruise past Century school by 7 wickets

Jaivir claimed a four-wicket haul before Vasu hit a brisk 40 to guide hots St John’s School, Sector 26, to a seven-wicket win over Century Public School, Nayagaon, in a Blessed Edmund Rice U-17 Cricket Tournament match in Chandigarh, yesterday.

Batting first, Century School were bowled out for 68 runs as Jaivir-led St John’s attack struck at regular intervals.

Monu Pandey (24) was the top scorer for Century School.

In reply, St John’s, powered by Vasu, romped home in 10 overs.

In the U-15 age-group, Gurukul School, Panchkula, defeated St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, by nine wickets.
