DPS and Mohana teams showcased supreme game spirit in District Level Sports Meet

In order to establish sportsmanship amongst the school level students, Faridabad’s Education Department organized Pre-Subroto Football Tournament in DPS located in Sector-11 of Faridabad. In Football matches, DPS Sector-19 team performed with full grace and the ace performance helped the team of DPS to qualify for State Level Tournament. In addition to this, Mohana’s team showcased a great game in a hockey match to qualify for the State Level Tournament.
Assistant District Education Officer (Sports) Buddhiram Dhankhar notifying about the details of the tournament said that total 9 teams participated in the football tournament and on the other hand hockey tournament witnessed support of Mohana and Sikri teams. In hockey match, Mohana team emerged as the winning side at the end of the match by scoring 3-1 goals in the match.
Football category established its popularity in the tournament through the participation of Modern DPS Greater Faridabad, Shri Ram Millennium School, Aravali International School, DAV Public School Sector 14-A, Manav Rachna School International School, Saint Joseph Convent School, DPS Sector 14A and Sector 19. The final of the tournament was played in between hosts DPS Sector 19 and Modern DPS School’s team. Both the teams end the tournament on equal goals with 1-1 scoreline later in the penalty shootout of the final. The winning side DPS Sector-19 scored total 5 goals in the final and Modern DPS were able to score just 2 chances in the thrilling penalty games.
Football match for the Girl’s category, Ayshar School registered 3 goals win over DAV School Sector-14.
