Doon and Pithoragarh teams declared champions of Subroto Cup

State Level Football Tournament Subroto Cup’s Final announced Dehradun and Pithoragarh team as the winner of the league in respective Under-17 and Under-14 games. In girls Category U-17 finals Dehradun rejoiced the winning spot against Nanital team and in the Boys category, Pithoragarh was the winning side against Sports College. U-14, finals of the tournament announced Maharana Pratap Sports College as the winning side against Pauri’s strong line-up.
All the final matches of different age categories were hosted in the grounds of Maharana Pratap Sports College. In the Boys U-14 category, Sports College emerged as the clear winner of the game with 3-0 scoreline. On behalf of Sports College, Hemraj scored two crucial goals in the game and counted the game dominant for the Sports College. In the U-17 girl’s match, Dehradun team showed their supremacy over the match from the very starting of the match. Both the team scored 1 goal each from their respective side and the winner of the game was decided on basis of tie-breaker.
In the closing ceremony of the tournament, Chief Guest R.K Kanwar distributed sets of trophy amongst the winner of the different categories matches. On this occasion Principal Navin Chandra Mishra, Muinuddin Khan, Ajay Naithani, Jitendra Bisht and other reputed personalities also offered the blessing to the winners and participants.
