District wrestling Tournament: Nankana Sahib school emerged as winners

The budding wrestlers of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, emerged winners in the district-level wrestling tournament held recently at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana. In the U-14 category (boys), Taranveer Singh and Gursharan Singh of Class VI (weight 62 kg) won gold and bronze, respectively. In the U-18 category (boys), Kamalpreet Singh of Class IX (weight 60 kg) bagged bronze. In athletics U-19, Likhat Singh of Class XII bagged third position in 1,500-meter and fourth in 3,000-meter race. Manveer Singh of Class XII stood third in the 400 meters and 800 metres race. He also got selected for the state relay team. Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich congratulated students and Jagjit Singh, head of Physical Education Department.
