District Sub Junior Basketball Championship kicks off in Ludhiana

The Ludhiana District Basketball Championship for 2018 edition is launched at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana from Monday. The championship witnessed 33 schools participated in the state level event which invited sub-junior boys and sub-junior girls along with junior boys and girls for the participation in the tournament.
The inauguration match of the tournament was played in between DCM Presidency School and Mata Mohan Devi School in the U-17 category for boys. The DCM Presidency team emerged as the winner of the tournament, as the team defeated Mata Mohan Devi School with an easy scoreline of 17-07. In the girl’s category, BCM Shashtri Nagar played against Green Land School Dugri and registered there first win by 17-12 scoreline. BIS School tasted bitter loss against Doraha Public score with scoreline 18-8 in the U-14 categories boys.
JSHS South City was defeated against Gymkhana Club by 18-10, while in another match of boy’s section KVM, Civil Lines started their championship with leading points in the table against Green Land Civil City by 20-12.
