Dhanas club clinche state kabaddi title

The girls’ team of Government Model High School (Sector 12) and the boys’ team of Dhanas Club won the Chandigarh Sub-Junior State Kabaddi Championship, organised by Chandigarh Kabaddi Association at the Sarangpur Sports Complex, Chandigarh.
In the girls’ final, the Sector 12 side defeated Government Model High School (Dhanas II) 35-15. Government Model High School (Sector 41) claimed the third position by defeating Government Model Senior Secondary School Club (Dhanas) 66-59. Earlier, in the semifinals, the Sector 12 team defeated the Sector 41 team 62-57, while GMHS (Dhanas II) logged a 48-24 win over GMSSSClub (Dhanas).
Dhanas Club won the boys’ title by defeating Unified Club 38-35 in a closely-contested final. Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 10) defeated Government Model High School (Dhanas II) 57-48 to claim the third position. In the semifinals, Unified Club defeated Sector 10 team 53-50 and Dhanas defeated Government Model High School (Dhanas II) 47-42. Over 35 teams participated in this tournament.
