DGSG School’s exceptional performance

DGSG Public School proved its mettle, winning both matches in the boy’s section on the second day of Sub-Junior Ludhiana District Basketball Tournament held at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Thursday.
In the first match, DGSG Public School faced a little resistence against Doraha Basketball Academy before coming out victorious 22-6 and in the second encounter, they got the better of BIS Academy 27-21.
However, Doraha Public School had a mixed day. In the girl’s section, they scored an easy (24-4) victory over DCM Presidency School, whereas in the boy’s category, they went down meekly (2-18) against DCM Presidency School.
In other matches, in the boy’s group, BIS Academy outclassed Doraha Public School 25-20 and then drubbed GVIS, Machhiwara 16-6; Gymkhana Club ‘A’ beat SGHPS 30-9; BIS Club overpowered Gymkhana Club ‘B’ 28-22; BIS Club outplayed Doraha Basketball Academy 36-8 and Gymkhana Club ‘A’ beat BIS School 17-9.
In the girl’s section, BIS Club recorded a comfortable (29-13) win over DCM Presidency School; Khalsa Senior Secondary School defeated BIS School 41-12; and BIS School outperformed Doraha Basketball Academy 26-10.
