Delhi University collects winning trophy of North Zone Inter University Chess Championship

Delhi University has outperformed against the universities of North Zone region to clinch the winning trophy of Inter University Chess Championship. All the matches of the tournament were played at the Amity University located in Sector 125 of Noida region.
Delhi University attaining highest points amongst the participating teams finished the league with mammoth 12 points. Lovely Professional University were named as the second best performing team of the chess competition. Guru Nanak Dev University had to satisfy their crave with third position of the competition.
The second spot winner Lovely Professional University claimed 10 points in the championship on the other hand Guru Nanak Dev Vishwavidhyalaya finished with 9 points. Total 27 different zone teams from the North Zone region marked their presence in the championship with 140 playing players.
All the matches were hosted on accordance with Law of Chess and Swiss System.
