Day 9 brings more cheer as Anish Bhanwala bags Gold in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol

15-year-old prodigy Anish Bhanwala became the latest Indian to bag a Gold medal the 2018 Commonwealth Games. After finishing third in the qualification stage with a total score of 580-22x, Anish Bhanwala made heads turn as he scored 30 in the final to bag the top position.

20-year-old Australian shooter Sergei Evglevski took silver with a score of 28 followed by 28-year-old Sam Gowin of England who scored 17. This is Bhanwala’s debut Commonwealth Games and he has surprised many to make his mark on the world stage. This is India’s 16th Gold medal in this edition.
