DAV School wins three Gold medal in District Judo Championship

Students of DAV Public School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar branch, proved their mettle, winning three gold medals in the District Judo Championship for Girls organised by the Punjab Education Department at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana.
Five girls from the school (3 in the U-14 and 2 in the U-17 groups) participated in this championship. Two students in the U-14 category and one in the U-17 category clinched gold medals to bring glory to their school.
In the U-14 group, Samridhi Kaushal bagged top honours in the below 44-kg weight category, whereas Namita Sharma annexed gold medal in the plus 44-kg weight category in the same age group.
Mouli Bhardwaj won gold medal in the below 52-kg weight category in the U-17 age group. On the basis of their performance, these three girls were selected to represent the district in the ensuing Punjab State Judo Championship.
