Darshan qualifies for main draw

Second seed Darshan Dilbar Singh humbled Sabya Sachi in straight sets to seal a spot in the boys’ U-16 main draw in the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament here today. Darshan won the final qualifying round 6-1 6-2.
Fourth seed Aryan Jolly downed Jashandeep Singh 6-4 6-1, while Aditya Bhatnagar ousted Iren Singh 6-3 6-3. Adik Sharma rallied from a set down to beat Karen Singh in the last qualifying round.
Sharma lost the opening set 6-7(5), but came back strongly to win the next two sets 6-2 6-1 and progress to the main draw.
Chaitanya Bansal prevailed 5-7 6-0 6-2 over Prabir Singh, while Aarya Vaibhav Nigam received a walkover against Angad Singh Rangi.
In the boys U-18 competition, Amish Bansal drubbed Ishan Bhandari 6-0 6-2 in the final qualifying round and advanced to the main draw.
