Class 1 students showcase their speaking skills

Public SpeakingDebate Competition

Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, organised an intersection poem recitation competition for the students of Class I. Two participants from each section participated in the competition. The topics given to the students were based on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev. Participants from each section prepared one English and one Punjabi poem. Principal Gurmant Kaur Gill appreciated the students’ efforts and said events like these enable students to imbibe good moral values and develop the right kind of life skills. She gave away certificates to the winners.

Culture presentation through dance: In other extra co-curricular activities, Tagore Public School organised an inter-house group dance competition on the theme of composite culture. Students gave a glimpse of various states of India through folk dances. Students were judged on the parameters of their moves, gestures, coordination, costumes and music. The winners of the competition were students of Subhash House while Nehru House stood second. Principal Manju Kansal congratulated the winners.
