It took only three overs on the fourth-day morning for openers JK Singh and AB More to notch up a vital 10-wicket win for Baroda against Assam in the Col CK Nayudu U-23 Cricket Tournament here at the SM Dev Stadium in Silchar on Wednesday.

With an overnight score of 93 runs, while chasing 116 to win, JK Singh (56 not out) and AB More (53 not out) batted with ease and style as both batsman scored half centuries to take their side through to victory. With the outright win, Baroda bagged crucial seven points in the table while it would be literally tough for Assam to qualify ahead in the tournament.

Mrinmoy Dutta, Rahul Singh and other bowlers of the Assam team could not make any impact in this match.

Brief scores: Assam 1st Innings: 151. Baroda 1st Innings: 172. Assam 2nd Innings: 136. Baroda 2nd Innings: 116 for no loss (JK Singh 56 not out, AB More 53 not out).
