Chinmaya and Poymantee win titles

Chinmaya Somaiya (Rajasthan) defeated Akash Pal (West Bengal) 2-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-5, 11-6 to lift the senior boys’ title in the 11Sports National table tennis championship that concluded here Sunday.
The senior girls’ honours went to Poymantee Baisya of Makhla Debishwari Vidyaniketan (West Bengal), who beat Radhapriya of Delhi Public School (Uttar Pradesh) 11-8, 11-7, 11-9.

Boys: Seniors: Chinmaya Somaiya (Raj) bt Akash Pal (Uttarpara Amarendra Vidyapeeth, WB) 2-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-5, 11-6. Juniors: Sujan Bhardwaj (Sri Kumaran Children School, Kar) bt Srikanth Kashyap (Sri Kumaran Children School, Kar) 9-11, 11-3, 11-5, 8-11, 11-7.
Girls: Seniors: Poymantee Baisya (Makhla Debishwari Vidyaniketan, WB) bt Radhapriya (DPS, Indirapuram, UP) 11-8, 11-7, 11-9; Juniors: S. Hrithika (PS SSS, TN) bt Vartika Bharat (St. Patrick’s, UP) 11-5, 11-5, 11-6.
