Chetna attains silver medal in National Boxing

23-year-old Chetna Saini has sparked 18th National Women’s Senior Boxing Championship after proudly holding silver medal in 51kg weight category. The Championship was launched in Uttrakhand this year in which boxers from different part of the country participated.
Chetna played total 5 bouts in her journey throughout the national boxing event. In first bout she punched out West Bengal’s player with 5-0 points, in second bout she knocked down Chattisgarh player with 5-1 points. Chetna faced challenge of Punjab Boxer in quarterfinal match and in semifinal she excels towards final with win over Pondicherry.
In the final match Chetna fought against Assam region boxer but was not fortunate enough to emerge as the winner of 51kg weight category.
