Chess masters from BCM Arya School reigned supreme

Students of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, stole the limelight, wrapping up the titles in the girls’ as well as boys’ sections in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Chess Tournament (U-14) held in Ludhiana at BCM Senior Secondary School, Basant Avenue.
As many as 12 teams in the boys’ section and 11 teams in the girls’ section took part in this competition wherein BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School stamped its superiority by emerging champions in both the categories.
The boys’ team that romped home triumphant comprised Chinmay Jagga, Tanush Jindal, Brahasis Singh Makkar, Kanishk Singh and Himanshu Bansal, while the girls’ squad which emerged winners included Parishaa Sehgal, Bhumi, Yogayata, Japji Kaur and Gursharan Kaur.
