Chandigarh State Badminton Championship: Garima wins four titles

Garima Singh won four titles to emerge as the best player at the inaugural Chandigarh State Badminton Championship, which concluded at the Sector 38 Sports Complex here on Wednesday.
Garima clinched her first title in the girls’ U-19 category. The top seed defeated her doubles partner Arpita Malik 21-6 21-14 in the final. The finalists then combined to dispatch second seeds Mili Verma and Vrinda Rana 21-9 21-10 in the doubles title clash.
In the women’s doubles final, second seeds Garima Singh and Ishita downed Daman Rajkumar and Muskan 22-20 21-12.
Garima also won the women’s singles title. In the final, she registered a 21-13 21-15 win over her doubles partner and top seed Ishita.
