Challenger Trophy, Assam: Semis from Tomorrow

The semifinal line-up of the Assam Cricket Association organised Challenger Trophy has been drawn after the league phase concluded today.
At the Judges’ Field here today, Green team edged past Green A by virtue of their 34-run first innings lead while at the DN Singha Stadium, Goalpara, Blue A team defeated Blue on the basis of their 57-run first innings lead as both the matches ended in a draw.
Now in the semifinals, Team Red – top of the Goalpara edition will play against Green A (second team from Guwahati edition) at Goalpara while the top team of Guwahati chapter, Green will face Blue A team (second position holder of Goalpara edition) at the Judges’ Field here. Both the two-day semifinals will played on August 9 and 10.
The final is slated for August 12 and 13 at Guwahati.
