CHA student now part of 30 member core group of Indian junior men’s team

30 member core group of Indian junior men’s team now included 5 trainees of the Chandigarh Hockey Academy (CHA) of Chandigarh. Sanjay, Sukhman Singh, Maninder Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Amandeep Singh were selected from 60 players during the training camp. All the 5 players are 18 years old. Now they will attend a coaching camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru from 13th May to 4th June. Till date they are guided by Gurminder Singh coach at CHA. He said “All these players were earlier a part of the Khelo India core group and then made it to the 60-member Group in January. On Tuesday, we were informed that they have been further shortlisted into the 30-member group. It’s a big opportunity for all of them. Also, there is a strong possibility of their selection into the Indian junior team,”.
