CFC marches on, as they crush DFCC challenge

Chandigarh Football Association registered a 4-0 win over Dullajan Football Coaching Centre (DFCC), Assam, in the ongoing 17th All-India Administrator’s Challenge Cup Football Tournament at the Sector 42 Sports Complex in Chandigarh.

It was a one-sided affair as the city boys dominated the match throughout the 80 minutes of the play. Kapil netted the first goal in the 5th minute, while Gogoi doubled the lead for the city side just before the half-time.

After the break, city boys held most of the possession and slowed down the pace of the match. Three minutes before the final hooter, Kapil Baruch made it 3-0 for Chandigarh Football Association. Nyomi Nyodna then found the back of the net in the 79th minute to seal a 4-0 win for the side.

Four-star Kennedy

At the Sector 46 Sports Complex, Kennedy scored four goals to lead Baichung Bhutia Football Academy, New Delhi, to a 10-0 win over Cordia Southall Club, Fatehgarh Sahib.

Kennedy struck in the 17th, 19th, 24th and 34th minutes of the match after Sahil had put the New Delhi side ahead in the second minute. Sahil scored two more goals in the 68th and 73rd minute.
Nangrim (38th), Michael (40th) and Vivek (42nd) added a goal each to the Baichung Bhutia Academy tally.
