CAB Protests: ISL matches postponed; Ranji SuspendedDecember 12, 2019, Guwahati
- Day four proceedings of the Ranji Trophy games in Guwahati and Agartala were on Thursday suspended due to the curfew imposed in the region following protests over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
- Hosts Assam were in the middle of their series-opener against Services Sports Control Board while Tripura were facing Jharkhand.
- While in the Indian Super League, AIFF has postponed the football match between NorthEast United FC and Chennaiyin FC which was slated to be played at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday.
- Guwahati, the epicentre of anti-CAB protests, was placed under indefinite curfew on Wednesday night while Army was called in at four places. Assam Rifles personnel were deployed in Tripura on Wednesday after the two north-eastern states plunged into chaos over the hugely emotive CAB.
