British school boxers reigned supreme with 5 gold

The British School, Sector 44, won five gold medals during the recently concluded boys’ U-14 inter-school boxing tournament in Chandigarh. Harsh, Aryan, Sumeet Dhull, Sonu and Sumit Atri won a gold medal each in their respective categories.

Harsh beat Kushal of Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, in the 30-32kg final, while Aryan dominated the field in the 36-38kg category. He downed Abhishek of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 36, in the final.
Dhull won the third gold medal for The British School. He got the better of Sahil of GMSSS, Sector 38, in the 42-44kg title clash. Sonu outpunched Amit Rana in the 46-48kg title bout, while Atri knocked out Aniket of St John’s School, Sector 26, in the 48-50kg final to claim the fifth gold medal for The British School. Meanwhile, Gaurav of Government Model High School (GMHS), Sector 37, defeated Priyanshu of The British School in the 28-30kg final.

Krishna Pal of GMHS, Sector 47, topped the podium in the 32-34kg competition. He beat Armaan of PML SD Public School, Sector 32, in the final. Alok Mor of PML SD School defeated Shaurya of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, in the 34-36kg title bout, while Anshuman of Moti Ram Arya School, Sector 27, outwitted Akul of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 47, to claim the gold medal in the 38-40kg competition.
