BP Govinda a former member of 1975 World Cup-winning team will head the 13 member hockey selection committee and former captain Sardar Singh also have been included in the committee, who wanted to continue playing till the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but was forced to quit after a disappointing Asian Games campaign last year, confirmed the development. “Yes, I was offered the role and I accepted it.
