Billabong knocks out Ryan team to catch semifinal spot

17th Captain Shashikant Memorial Cricket Tournament charging up local players of Noida region in the Noida Stadium offered the spectators list of all semifinalist teams on Tuesday. In the first scheduled match of the day Billabong High International School challenged Senior team of Ryan International School.
The match favored Billabong boys as they surfaced their positioning in semi-final lineup after knocking out rival team from the prestigious cricket tournament. Playing with strong team formation Billabong team before this clinical win punched out Bal bharti School Noida out of the tournament to play the quarterfinal match.
Billanong High International School team in their first league match scored blasting 184 runs innings in span of 6 over match. Gagan Parashar with 66 runs and Sankalp Singhai with 39 runs score were the top performing batsmen for the team.
Balbharti bowlers Aniket Porawal with 2 wickets and Karan Negi with 1 wicket were the highlighted bowler for the team. Bal Bharti School team in response of the mammoth score were able to score just 101 runs in the limited over match.
Billabong team played the last quarterfinal match of the historical tournament against Ryan International School. Billabong team batting once again batting first in the match scored 112 runs. Sankalp once again offered steady start for the team with 47 runs contribution, Dushyant also played a decent knock of 27 runs.
Ryan team chasing down the offered total were able to score just 74 runs losing 9 scalps in the match. Sharan scored 19 runs, Vishal scored 18 runs and Vishal scored 18 runs in the match. Sankalp demonstrating all round show grabbed 2 wickets in the match and Neel showed the way to pavilion to 4 players of Ryan team. Sankalp was named as the ‘Man Of the Match’ for his appreciable contribution in team’s win.
