BCM School shines at Zonal & Inter-district competitions

Students of BCM Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh Road branch, excelled in the zonal and district-level tournaments. Their achievements were appreciated by the school authorities. Principal DP Guleria said students from the school made their presence felt in kabaddi, table tennis, badminton, volleyball and basketball and their achievement would encourage other students to take an active part in games.
Giving details of students’ achievements, he said in the Punjab Schools Zonal Kabaddi Tournament held at Guru Nanak Public School, Birmi village, BCM school secured second position in the boys’ section, while two players namely Navdeep and Raghav represented the district team in the Punjab Schools Kabaddi Championship at Kila Raipur.
In table tennis, students (boys) finished as first runners-up in the U-19 category in addition to winning the third position in the U-14 section in the competition held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines.
Likewise, in badminton, the school won top position in boys’ U-17 and U-19 groups in the zonal-level tournament at Guru Nanak Stadium, whereas in the U-14 category, the school players clinched a silver medal.
Kritika and Muskan were the members of volleyball (U-17) team that won the second position in the District Schools Inter-Zone Tournament held on September 3 and 4 at Government Senior Secondary School, Govind Nagar.
