BCM School celebrated International Youth Day

International Youth Day 2019 was celebrated at BCM School, Basant Avenue, to highlight the theme of this year, Transforming Education’. Students highlighted the efforts required to make education more relevant, equitable and inclusive for youth organised activities. An intra-class panel discussion was organised for Class XI and XII on the topics of artificial intelligence, cyber security and threats, cyber bullying, Internet addiction and safety measures for social networking.

In other school activities, a rakhi-making competition was organised at Adarsh Public School, Kapil Park, in which students from Class I to X participated. Students made colourful rakhis using a variety of art and craft materials. The efforts of students were appreciated by teachers and principal. Meanwhile, to sensitise children about nature and environment, a plantation drive drive was also organised. Students, along with members of the school managing committee, planted saplings on campus. Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu was the special guest of the occasion. He urged the gathering to look after the plants.
