Basketball: Strawberry Fields to clash with St. Kabir in Final

Strawberry Fields High School (Sector 26) managed to edge past Vivek High School (Sector 38) 10-8 to reach the girls’ U-12 final on the penultimate day of the St Kabir Basketball Trophy.
Kanisha scored seven points to emerge as the best performer for the Sector 26 team. Vivek High girls gave the winners a tough fight but eventually fell short. In the second semifinal, Kyna Goyal scored 10 points to confirm a 14-7 win for hosts St Kabir School against Saupin’s School (Sector 32). Anresha scored five points to top Saupin’s points tally.
In the boys’ U-12 semifinals, the host team defeated Vivek High (Mohali) 37-28. Daksh hogged the limelight by contributing 17 points in the win. Gureshan with 16 points was the best performer for Vivek High. Vivek High School (Sector 38) made their way into the final by defeating LPS (Mohali) 36-21.
