Bangladesh Under 17s takes first innings lead Afghanistan Under 17s in drawn three-day match

Bangladesh Under 17s were in complete control of the three-day match against a weaker Afghanistan under 17s team in Greater Noida. Choosing to bat after winning the toss, the Bangladesh side proved it to be the right decision as it posted a mammoth 500/7d in 122.3 overs. 4 batsman made fifties with opener Prantik Nawroz Nabil making a fine 128.
In reply, the Afghanistan team tumbled like a pack of cards, getting all out for a mere 96. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury took 5 wickets for 13 runs. Following on, Afghanistan were 176 for the loss of 6 wickets at the end of the third day. The team managed to save the match by its teeth in the end.
The two teams will now meet for 3 one day matches at the same ground.
