Ayushi-Nimisha becomes state champion in straight sets

Ayushree Dhasmana and Nimisha Pandey of the Noida won the under-17 doubles category of Shri Premchand Mangwani State Badminton Championship. The duo defeated the pair of Nidhi Vishwakarma and Rishika Yadav in straight sets in the title match. In the final match played at the Eklavya Sports Stadium in Agra on Monday, Ayush-Nimisha defeated the rival pair in 25 minutes.
The pair of Ayushi and Nimisha won the first set 21–17. In this set, there was a close fight between the two pairs, but Nimisha and Aayushi performed the first set after performing excellent sports. In the second set, both the players of Gautam Budh Nagar performed brilliantly and won 21-14. In the second set, both of them did not let Rishika and Nidhi stand in front of their smash and drop shot.
Earlier in the semi-finals too, Ayush and Nimisha had won the straight sets to lead the way to the finals, but there was a tough match in both sets. The district shuttlers defeated the Kavya and Khushi pair 21-18, 21-19. District Badminton Association secretary Anand Khare congratulated the two players on the title win. He said that the players of the district will also perform brilliantly in future.
