Assam has mountain to climb against Maharashtra on final day

Assam needed 285 with all the wickets intact in the second innings to beat Maharashtra in the Elite Group C Ranji Trophy match.
On the final day of the four-day encounter at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara in Guwahati, chasing a target of 296, the hosts were 12 for no loss.
Earlier, Maharashtra declared their second innings at 365 for nine after 113.3 overs of batting. Jay Pandey scored 130 off 272 balls with 13 boundaries. Vishant More added 57.
Assam pacer Ranjit Mali took five wickets giving away 123 runs while Arup Das and Mukhtar Hussain captured two each.
