Asian Games 2018: Bopanna, Sharan claims 2nd Gold of the day for Indian side

Friday proves to be great day for Indian athletes at the Asian Games 2018. After bagging gold medal in Rowing in Qyadruple Sculls event. Indian Tennis team advanced its way to the final of Asian Games 2018 as Rohan Boanna and Divij Sharan clinched gold in Men’s Doubles Tennis Category finals.

The duo of Indian Tennis team defeated Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik and Denis Yevseyev in nthe final event with score tally of 6-3 and 6-4. Indian side took just 52 minutes charge of the final match to pull down the final game in favour of Indian side.

With this win in the finals, Indian Tennis Doubles team have defended their winning streak for the 5th consecutive time at the medals tally.

Surprisingly, Rohan Bopanna has grabbed his maiden Asian Games medal. On the other hand, Sharan has previously attained a bronze medal in the same category in the year 2014 alongside Yuki Bhambri.
