Archers from Faridabad, books their tickets to SGFI Nationals & Khelo India

The DAV National archery Championship which is currently being held at Hyderabad till 13th December, witnessed Archers from Delhi-NCR coming at the top. This Championship started from 10th December and will end on 13th December. Delhi-NCR team which bagged Gold in this event, consisted the significant amount of players from Faridabad.
In singles category Jamshedpur’s Shrey Bharadwaj claimed Gold medal with 321 points while DAV NIT Faridabad’s Prashant, a class 12th student had to settle for silver in the Recurve round. Prashant scored 311 points in the final round and was no match for the leader Shrey who has asserted 10 points gap during the whole match.
DAV Sector 14, Faridabad’s was also able to claim the medal as their student Rupansh Chauhan bagged bronze in singles with a total of 300 points.
Prashant and Rupansh both trains at District Sports Association regulated Archery academy at Shahpur Kala. Due to these excellent performances both are now nominated for SGFI National Championship which is set to be held from 18th to 21st January in Ranchi 2020.
DAV Ballabgarh’s Aaditya Daitan is also part of the Team for SGFI. Meanwhile, district’s Bharat Kaushik is the sole Archer to be selected for Khelo India Youth Games from Faridabad.
