Second seed Ankita Raina made the second round even as three others — wildcard Rutuja Bhosale, Jennifer Luikham and Snehal Mane— bowed out at the $25000 BVG Pune Open ITF women’s championship, organised under the auspices of AITA, MSLTA and PMDTA by NS Sports Academy.
Ankita defeated Amina Anshba of Russia in straight sets. Karman Kaur Thandi is the only other Indian in the second round.
