Ankita Raina fought her way into the quarterfinals with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Ana Vrljic of Croatia in the $60,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament here on Thursday.
In the men’s Challenger in Italy, third seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Johan Brunstrom of Sweden, were beaten in the doubles quarterfinals. The Indo-Swedish pair collected €550 and 15 ATP points.
Sasi Kumar Mukund advanced to the quarterfinals in the $25,000 ITF men’s Futures in Turkey.
