Amloh legislator honors international shooter Cheema

The legislator of Amloh region Kaka Randip Singh, on a positive note has honored international shooter Arjun Singh Cheema in a special function organized at Mandi Gobindgarh on Thursday. Cheema successfully brings lots of pride for the district and the nation by bagging two crucial gold medals at the recently concluded Junior World Shooting Championship held at the Czech Republic in between July 11 and July 15.
In the tournament, Cheema won 50m individual gold in the 50 metre free air pistol shooting and the other gold for the team event. Cheema also registered a new record of 569 points in the shooting games and broke 12 years old record of 563 points. In past, the team had bagged gold in the 10m air pistol event held as part of the Junior World Cup in Germany.
Telling about his future plan in the function, Cheema mentioned that his full-focus now is focused on performing well in the upcoming World Championship to commence in Korea from September 1.
