All you need to know about IPL’s Mid-Season Transfer Window
This year’s IPL has a new provision for teams, especially those who are struggling at the half way stage, to bag a player of another team by replacing him with an unused player. To make things more interesting for teams as well as fans the IPL has introduce the Transfer Window just as it has been used in football all these years. It will be implemented in the 4th and 5th week of the tournament which tends to be less followed as compared to the start and the finish. We tell you everything you need to know about this rule:
- The Mid Season Transfer Window will last a total of 10 days from 29th April to 10th May 2018.
- Only uncapped players and capped players who have played less than 2 matches for their respective teams can be swapped.
- The amount paid to the player would be distributed according to the matches he remains available for each franchise.
- The Players can be swapped irrespective of the amount that was paid for them at the IPL auction.
With this rule being put in place for the first time in the history of cricket, we expect it to throw many surprises for all teams and the fans as well.
