All India LIC sports meet starts in Guwahati from Oct 12

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is going to hold the All India LIC Games in Guwahati from October 12 to 15.
LIC has been holding this event every year as per LIC’s sports promotion policy.
The four-day event will be held at the Sarusajai Sports Complex. Around 450 sportspersons from across the country will participate in six different indoor and outdoor events – carrom, badminton, table tennis, chess, volleyball and athletics where few international and national level athletes will be seen in action.
The opening ceremony will be held on October 12 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai with the march-past where eight zonal teams will participate. MR Kumar, chairman, LIC of India along with other senior officers from LIC’s central office, Mumbai and eastern zonal office, Kolkata will be present on the occasion, stated a release.
