Adarsh, Jisna hog limelight in guiding their teams to the title

A.S. Adarsh’s hat-trick helped Panampilly Nagar GHSS crush Thevara’s Sacred Heart HSS 6-1 and lift the senior boys’ title in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament’s Kochi leg at Panampilly Nagar here.
However, the Panampilly Nagar school lost the junior boys’ final to Thiruvananthapuram’s St. Vincent HS by a lone goal, scored by Sajin Thadause.
Meanwhile, Kottayam’s Baselius College won the college boys’ title defeating Muvattupuzha’s Nirmala 4-3, via the tie-breaker.
In the girls’ section, Jisna B. Jayan sparkled with three goals and Divya Jose struck twice as Chalakudy’s Model Residential School thrashed Chengal’s St. Joseph’s 8-1.
The big win ensured the schools title for the team.

Golden glove: Jo Paul Anthony (Sacred Heart).
College boys: Baselius College, Ktm bt Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha 4-3 via tiebreaker (1-1, Baselius’ Haris Rahman & Nirmala’s Ajay Alex scored).
School girls: Model Residential School, Chalakudy 8 (Jishna B. Jayan 3, Divya Jose 2, Adhira Satyan, Vaishnavi Balakrishnan, Mannya Soman) bt St. Joseph’s GHS, Chengal 1 (Santra Jayan).
