5th Dibrugarh Marathon is all set for August 18

The Marwari Yuva Manch Dibrugarh Greater branch gears up to hold the fifth edition of Dibrugarh Marathon for promoting health awareness amongst the citizens of Dibrugarh
The theme of this year is ‘Run for Yourself’ – Aap Badlo Desh Badlega
“One of the major projects of our branch is ‘Dibrugarh Marathon’ which was started four years back,” said Mayank Poddar, president of Marwari Yuva Manch Greater branch
“The sporting event has been generating great interest in the upper Assam region with nearly 2000 participants in 2018,” he added
He further said the vision behind organising the event is to promote health awareness amongst the citizens of Dibrugarh
The Dibrugarh Marathon will be held on four categories – 4 km for 10 years and above, 7 km for 14 years and above, 11 km for 14 years and above and Half Marathon (21.1 km) for 16 years and above. The route of the race is Old Government Boys’ High School field, Thana Chariali, Chowkidinghee, Convey Road, Mulukubasha, back to Chowkidinghee, Thana Chariali, RKB Path, HS Road, AT Road and Old Government Boys’ High School field
The registration fee for students has been kept at Rs 150 while for general it is Rs 250. The price distribution will be held on the same day at 8.30 am
