5 players from Faridabad is all set for Check & Mate at Nationals

Faridabad’s Boys Team rose above all to win the Gold medal in recently concluded SGFI State level Chess Competition. This competition was held in Kurukshetra and Faridabad’s boys won it in Under-17 category. Not only boys but Girls team from Faridabad were also successful in clinching Bronze in Under-17 category.
In under-19 age category, Boys team won Silver for Faridabad. Not only boys, but Girls also succeeded in earning a second spot in this age category.
And for these heroics in the competition, 5 players from team Faridabad are chosen for the Team Haryana to represent state in Nationals. After returning from Kurukshetra, players were welcomed
in District education office of Faridabad.
Team who won Gold in U-17 category is as follows: Cyrus Chikra, Yatin Malhotra, Samarth Mittal and Yashovardhan Singhal.
Team which won Bronze in Girls U-17 category is as follows: Janya Kaur, Anshita Jain, Drishti Gaur and Dori Sharma.
Team which won silver in U-19 category is as follows: Harsh Singh Sengar, Jatin, Naman Gulati and Rishabh Dhankar.
Team which won silver in Girls, U-19 is as follows: Isha Verma, Devanshi Agarwal, Lavnya Arora and Muskan Jindal.
Assistant edu official, Budhiram Dhankar told that players who were selected to represent Haryana in Nationals are: Cyrus Chikra, Samarth Mital, Yashowardhan Singhal, Harsh Sengar and Isha Verma.
