30 wushu players flagged off for selection trials at SAI

Wushu Association of J&K organised selection trials for juniors and seniors (boys and girls) at Indoor Stadium, here on Saturday.

Around 200 players across the State participated in the selection trial from which 30 players (boys and girls) have been shortlisted for the selection trials to be organised by the Wushu Association of India at Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bhopal for the selection in the National Coaching Camp for the Junior Asian Championship to be held at Brunie and 15th World Sushi Championship to be held at Shanghai.

The Manager Indoor, Mushtaq Zargar flagged off the team and wished them best of luck for the trials.

The National Chief Coach of India, Kuldeep Handoo hoped that the selected players will get maximum reservations in the national coaching camp.

He appreciated and congratulated selected players and conveyed them to exhibit their best in the selection trial at national level.

He thanked President Wushu Association of J&K, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra (Vice President), Deepak Handa (Vice President), Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma for their support and making efforts for the betterment of this combat sports in the State.

The guests present on the occasion were Maqsood Rather (Joint Secretary) Fasil Dar, Ajaz Hussain, Aijaz Pala, Jabeena Akhter, Aijaz, Nissar Ahmed, Sujad Ahmed, Mudasir Ahmed and Kamal Kishore.
