20 players selected for Senior Punjab Football Championship

In total, 52 aspirants attended the selection trials conducted by the District Football Association, Ludhiana, at Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, here on Saturday. The trials were organised to select the Ludhiana district men’s team for the Senior Punjab State Football Championship scheduled to be held at NS College, Banga, in Nawanshahr district on June 22 and 23.
Ranbir Singh, honorary secretary of the association said the selection panel comprising Narinder Singh Malhi, Ram Lubhaya, Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Jasbir Singh Kaler, Kanwar Jatinder Bajwa watched the aspirants during the trials and finalised 20 players, besides four substitutes for the upcoming state championship.
The names of the selected players are Shamsher Singh, Savtoz Singh, Amitej Singh, Rahul, Balwinder Singh, Harinder Singh, Binatjit Singh, Manpreet Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Satwinder Singh, Sifat Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Balwinder Singh, Chanchaldeep Singh, Rishab Rai, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Prashar, Rakesh Kumar, Bharat and Kartik Nayyar.
Players in the standby list are Ibrahim, Raju, Sandeep Singh and Patras Singh.
