19th edition of The Hindu Young World Painting Competition held on Sunday

On Sunday at Army Public School, Bengaluru 19th edition of The Hindu Young World Painting Competition 2019 took place in which over 200 children took part. Winners were rewarded with trophies and certificate by The Hindu and goodie bags from sponsors. Judges of the competition were Babu Jattakar, assistant professor at the college of fine arts and V.R.C. Shekar, president Karnataka Cartoonists Association.
Topics ‘A day at the Beach’, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ and ‘ ‘Holiday in the Hills’ were given in junior category to student from 4th to 6th standard. HAL Public School class 4th student Antara Alai won the first prize. The Oxford Senior Secondary School student Shri Haridra S. came second and Presidency School Bangalore East Student Yashwin B. bagged the third position.
‘Adventure Park’, ‘Role Reversal’, ‘Animals and Humans’ and ‘underwater Life’ were the topics for classes 7 to 9 in senior category. Sree Cauvery School student Darshan got the first prize. The Oxford Senior Secondary School student K. Sanjana won the second position and Air Force School student K. Lakshmi won the third position.
