120 players took part in 36th Youth National Basketball Championship trials

The trials took place for the selection of teams for the 36th Youth National Basketball Championship which will take place in May 14 to 21 at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Over 120 players U- 17 took part in it, the trials was organized by Punjab Basketball Association at Guru Nanak Stadium.
Punjab Basketball Association general secretary Teja Singh Dhaliwal said the selection panel watched these aspirants during the selection exercise and finalised the probables who would attend the preparatory camps prior to their participation in the upcoming national championship. The camps would be held from April 22 to 27 and then from May 2 to 10. During the break, the Youth Punjab Basketball Championship would be conducted at Kapurthala from April 28 to May 1 wherein the performance by the players would be taken into consideration and more players would be added to the second phase of the camp.
