Managing tight shoes with six toes in each of the legs, 21 year old Swapna with bandage around her face to overcome tooth infection not only participated in the most difficult event of Asian games with 7 different games but grabbed the gold in the final.Battling the biggest sport, LIFE under extreme conditions since childhood, the rural girl carried enough mental toughness to cope up with tooth pain and ill-sized shoes and win first-ever gold for India.
The Women Show in 4X400 Relay

It was the most unexpected win for the Indian side. As the day before the final relay Bhokanal fell in water during warm-up show and finished last in the race. The other teammate Swarna Singh was suffering back injury and was hit hard by hard luck with typhoid and viral fever. The four girls were never sure about their positioning in top 3 even but cried with joy after finishing with the ace spot finish.
The Golden Show of Asian Games Roomies
Roomates at Asiad Village and good friends of each other, Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Arpinder Singh rubbed off their victorious tour on each other to grab gold for India. Sharing the incident, Arpinder said that when Toor was on his national duty in the shot put event, he at the stand was sharing the moment to nationwide people through Facebook Live. Toor was expected to cheer his friend and room partner with the same way, but he was not able to do a Facebook live as TV right holder objected his part.
