Table tennis, also known as Ping Pong, is a sport played using small hard racquets on a hard surface. It is played with the objective that a players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce one time on their side of the table, and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side at least once. A point is scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. It requires speed and agility along with quick reactions. Table Tennis originated in England and became an Olympic Sport in 1988. Although China dominates the sport, the sport is widely played in all parts of the globe.
