Which accessories should I provide my kid with, for being trained in Salsa?
As a beginner you do not need to provide any accessories to your child as Salsa is a dance form without any props or by using medium. It is a rhythmic sway of body movements to Salsa music.
You just have to ensure that if you have a son, he should dress in loose fitting comfortable pants as bottoms so that he can comfortably do steps without constriction of clothing. His shirt should be fitting and as he becomes an adept dancer, he would be needing ballroom shoes that are mostly used for Salsa dance.
If your child is a girl, she would need skirt that comes just above her knees to show off movements of her leg. The skirt could both be pleated or with a flair but should not be too fitting. As regards the top, your child can wear any tank top or loose shirt that suits her. Salsa dancers generally go in for heel shoes that are strapped at the ankle to give their movements effect.
But as a beginner you can send your child without any accessories and loose comfortable clothes. It is only after they become skilled at Salsa would they need the above mentioned Salsa dancewear.
