What is polarizer? How to use it?
A Polarizer is placed in front of the camera lens to filter out the sunlight which is reflected to the camera at specific angles. Polarizing filter is considered to be an important tool for photography as it increases color saturation and decreases reflections. In simpler terms it adds contrast and vividness to the pictures taken.
Polarizing filter can be used to darken the skies or suppress the glare from the water bodies such as lakes or seas. By the use of circular polarizer and rotating it clock wise and anti clock wise you can filter the light that would enter the lens.
Since the effect of polarization varies with the sun, it is best utilized when the sun is 37degrees from the horizon and 90 degrees from the sun.
