Companion plants are those plants that act as friends when planted together in close proximity. They benefit each other by kind of gelling well together. Working as a team they keep away the unwanted pests and attract the ones required for good growth and provide nutrients as well as support to their neighbors/partners or companion.  
 
A few companion plants are- 
 

  • Cauliflower- Spinach 
  • Basil - Pepper, Tomato 
  • Strawberry – Lettuce, Onion, Spinach, Bush Beans 
  • Pepper- Bean, Carrot, Onion 
  • Squash- Beans, Onion, Radish  
  • Tomato- Cucumber, Carrot, Mint, Parsley, Peas 
  • Egg Plant- Beans, Spinach 
  • Cabbage Family- All Aromatic Herbs, Bush Beans, Onion, Spinach
